Jenny Coates BA (Hons) Consultant Historian
I am a consultant historian with extensive experience in archival
research, contextual analysis, and literature searching and review.
I have published or contributed to
histories of my local area, and written several entries for the
Encyclopedia of Melbourne
(2005). I have 24 years'
experience in family, biographical and local history research.
I have a First-class Honours degree in history from
the Monash University (Melbourne), with
my thesis supervised by Professor Graeme Davison and Dr Seamus O’Hanlon.
I am completing a PhD on the unemployed in Melbourne during the
depression of the 1890s, supervised by Dr O’Hanlon and Professor Marian
Quartly.
